Job Title: Front Desk Clerk

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Athabasca Motor Hotel 1972 Ltd. As a Front Desk Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests, handling room reservations, and maintaining the front desk area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register arriving guests and assign rooms
  • Resolve complaints and claims
  • Process group arrivals and departures
  • Take, cancel, and change room reservations
  • Provide information on hotel facilities and services
  • Provide general information about points of interest in the area
  • Exchange foreign currency
  • Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments
  • Balance cash and complete balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms
  • Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments
  • Follow emergency and safety procedures
  • Clerical duties (i.e., faxing, filing, photocopying)
  • Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
  • Assist clients/guests with special needs
  • Contact customers to deliver requested wake-up calls
  • Provide customer service

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience an asset

Work Environment:

Athabasca Motor Hotel 1972 Ltd. is a hotel located in a rural area. We offer staff accommodation, hotel, motel, and resort settings. We are willing to relocate.
