Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team at Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster, B.C. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients by providing occupational therapy services in accordance with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and cognitive status, functional abilities, needs, and goals.
- Develop and implement evidence-based intervention strategies to achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to provide patient-centered care and ensure seamless transitions.
- Evaluate and document the effectiveness of interventions and modify strategies as needed.
- Participate in approved research, special projects, and committees to enhance and optimize the delivery of care.
- Current full registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
- Knowledge of occupational therapy theory and practice within a patient and family-centered model of care.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
