About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Developer to join our team at Nexus Systems Group Inc. as a key member of our technology team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Development: Develop and implement workflow-based solutions to meet project requirements, utilizing industry best practices and technical expertise.
  • Code Testing and Troubleshooting: Test code thoroughly and resolve any bugs or issues that arise, ensuring high-quality and reliable software.
  • Business Analysis and Technical Design: Analyze complex business requirements and generate technical specifications to design or redesign software components and applications.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts, leveraging industry best practices and technical expertise.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure that quality, security, and compliance requirements are met for supported areas, maintaining a high level of quality and reliability.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in an evolving environment, adjusting work accordingly in a positive manner.
Requirements
  • Technical Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience supporting technology projects, with 5+ years of hands-on experience with Functional Programming in Java.
  • Capital Markets Experience: Capital Markets experience, particularly in Capital Markets Technology Systems, is required.
Preferred Skills
  • ION MarketView (MMI) Experience: Prioritized experience or knowledge of ION MarketView (MMI) will be considered.
  • Scala Experience: Core functional Scala experience is an asset.
  • Messaging Systems Experience: Experience with Messaging Systems such as Kafka or Solace is desirable.
  • KDB (KX) Experience: Experience with KDB (KX) is an asset.
Soft Skills
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, including verbal and written skills, are essential for this role.
  • Technical Documentation: Strong written skills, including technical documentation and presenting test results, are required.
Education and Certification
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a technical field, such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, is required.
