Job Title: Senior Business Intelligence Specialist

Location: Remote

Duration: 3 months Contract

Work Type: Hybrid

Pay Range: C$650 - C$700/Day

We are seeking a skilled Senior Business Intelligence Specialist to contribute to the development and implementation of a new data warehouse/lakehouse on Microsoft Azure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Warehouse Design: Architect and design an efficient data warehouse/lakehouse, considering business requirements and data modeling best practices.
  • Data Integration and ETL: Develop and automate ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, including Dynamics 365 CE and F&O, into the new data warehouse.
  • Data Modeling: Create robust logical and physical data models that align with reporting and analytical needs.
  • Data Security and Governance: Implement robust security controls to protect sensitive data within the data warehouse and ensure data governance compliance.
  • Reporting and Visualization: Develop and maintain high-quality reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Power BI to provide actionable insights.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize query performance and overall system efficiency by fine-tuning the data warehouse and reporting processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, including data modeling, ETL processes, data integration, and data governance.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling, creating interactive reports and dashboards, and utilizing advanced features.
  • Experience with SSIS and SSRS.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform, including Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks.
  • Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and query optimization.
  • Experience with data security and governance best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Azure cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, Azure Power BI Data Analyst Associate)
  • Experience with PowerApps platform, Power Automate, Dynamics CE, and F&O
