About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our culinary team at the Jolly Roger Inn & Resort. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading our culinary operations and ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Supervise and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
  • Culinary Operations: Plan, organize, and execute menu development, food preparation, and presentation to meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ordering, and storage of food and supplies to minimize waste and optimize costs.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all food products meet our high standards of quality and safety.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations and protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent culinary skills, and knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
