We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team at Strathcona Long Term Care. As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Personal Care: Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support Patient Care: Perform tasks related to patient comfort and well-being, including serving meal trays, weighing, lifting, and positioning patients.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.
  • Assist with Exercise Routines: Supervise and support residents with their exercise routines to promote physical activity and mobility.
  • Communicate Effectively: Respond to call signals and communicate with residents, families, and healthcare staff to determine their needs and preferences.
Work Environment

As a Personal Support Worker at Strathcona Long Term Care, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires a combination of physical and emotional stamina. You will be part of a collaborative team that is dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to our residents.

Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Long term care center.
