Job Title: Personal Support Worker - Nursing Care

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Strathcona Long Term Care. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving, as well as feeding residents
  • Perform light housekeeping duties, such as making beds and maintaining patient rooms
  • Transport residents in wheelchairs or stretchers, as needed
  • Answer call signals to determine residents' needs and respond accordingly
  • Participate in exercise routines and activities to promote physical and mental well-being
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent in a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in a long-term care setting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting
