Role Summary

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Senior Engineer, DevOps/Cloud, with a strong background in infrastructure management, cloud computing, and DevOps practices. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance infrastructure systems, focusing on scalability, reliability, and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provision, configure, and monitor cloud-based infrastructure services.
  • Develop and maintain efficient DevOps practices, ensuring seamless collaboration between development, QA, and operations teams.
  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-availability systems, leveraging cloud and DevOps technologies.
  • Coach and mentor team members, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive automation initiatives and improve overall efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and cloud platform enhancements, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps/Cloud Engineer/Systems Engineer role or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of web application architecture, high-volume, highly available, and scalable environments.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Linux-based systems, such as Ubuntu.
  • Experience working with AWS products, including EC2, RDS, S3, Cloudfront, VPC, etc.
  • Experience with MySQL, Docker containers, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, etc.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Ruby, Perl, Shell, etc.
  • Experience with system monitoring tools like NewRelic, Prometheus, StatsD, etc.
