The role is accountable for promoting excellence in all maintenance activities provided in the plant's operation through leadership and development of staff, developing business plans and methods, and planning/coordinating activities for plant standard operation.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of maintenance systems, mechanical & process engineering, electrical, instrumentation, PLC, and SCADA Controls, as well as experience in manufacturing and project engineering.

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the department's budget by controlling, monitoring and justifying expenditures versus plan and manage accordingly.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for improvement in costs, quality, customer service, and plant operations.
  • Supervise and ensure contractors adhere to facility procedures and achieve contractual requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum five (5) years' experience in a leadership position, preferably in manufacturing and project engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory codes (building, ISO, safety, fire, CFIA, electrical, TSSA, etc.)
  • Proficient with standard office computer technology such as Lotus Notes, and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), as well as business systems such as SAP
