Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Project Controls/Project Coordinator to join our team for a 6-month contract in Calgary, AB. As a Project Controls/Project Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our project management team by providing administrative assistance, coordinating project activities, and ensuring the smooth execution of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Administration: Create project artifacts, such as delivery checklists, status reports, and PMO documentation, to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Forecasting and Accruals: Develop forecasting for projects and accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Time Entry and Variance Reporting: Track and follow up on monthly time entry and run variance reports to meet target.
  • Project Meetings and Minutes: Organize project meetings, collect minutes, and keep track of action items to ensure project progress.
  • Issue, Action, Risk, and Decision Tracking: Assist PM and Program managers with creating and maintaining issue, action, risk, and decision trackers.
  • Resource Onboarding and Offboarding: Support resource onboarding and offboarding requests, coordination of access requests, and ensure a smooth transition of project responsibilities.
  • Contracting and Purchase Orders: Work with the contracting team to process project contract requests and purchase orders.
  • Stage Gate and Quality Gating: Assist in stage gate and quality gating coordination, materials, and signoff to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Project Repository Management: Manage project repository and ensure it is up-to-date to facilitate project knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Project Documents: Prepare project documents, such as kick-off materials and project closure documentation, to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • SAP PS Management: Maintain SAP PS (Network, PO, Time report, Actuals, Project builder, etc.) to ensure accurate financial reporting and project tracking.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in managing project financials and reporting.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft Project are mandatory. Conversant with project coordinator activities and proficient with project tools, templates, and methodologies.
  • SAP Experience: Relevant experience with SAP projects is required. SAP PS application knowledge is a nice to have.
