Job Summary

The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate and timely financial transactions, and providing technical advice to team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Transactions: Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular financial reports to management, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the smooth operation of accounting equipment, including software and hardware.
  • Productivity and Quality: Identify opportunities to improve productivity and product quality, implementing measures to achieve these goals.
  • Financial Systems: Maintain and update financial systems, including QuickBooks, to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and QuickBooks.
  • Personal Suitability: Flexibility, reliability, and strong communication skills.
