About the Role

Muma Manufacturing Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder-Fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and execute welding process specifications to ensure high-quality products.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, including arc welding machines, gas welding machines, and spot welding machines.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate fabrication and repair.
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications.
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to prepare metal for welding.
  • Determine weldability of materials and select appropriate welding techniques.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy metal parts and products.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Requirements
  • Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Experience with various welding techniques, including resistance, spot, or seam welding, shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), and gas metal arc welding (GMAW).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks and handle heavy loads.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Standing for extended periods and working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
