Responsibilities:

* Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
* Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, specifications, manuals, and processes
* Examine welds and ensure they meet standards and/or specifications
* Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines
* Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment
* Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment

Requirements:

* Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
* Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
* Experience with arc welding machines, gas welding machines, and spot welding machines
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
* Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
