We are a leading provider of dining services to independent schools, seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Food Service Team Member to join our team at a prestigious school in the greater Toronto area.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our culinary team as a Food Service Team Member. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our guests, interacting positively with SAGE guests and Team Members, and providing exceptional service with a smile.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean and welcoming environment for our guests, including cleaning, restocking, and replenishing serving lines and stations.
  • Interact positively with SAGE guests and Team Members, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Dispose of waste and maintain a clean kitchen, properly washing and sorting soiled utensils, dishes, and pots.
  • Set up and break down the dish machine and sanitize equipment in the kitchen.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Participate in ongoing daily paid training to develop skills and knowledge in food service operations.

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to understand and apply FIFO inventory procedures.
  • Prior commercial dishwashing experience preferred, but we can teach any motivated individual.
