Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Water Treatment Specialist to join our team in the Northeastern Region. In this role, you will operate and maintain water treatment facilities, ensuring the delivery of safe and reliable drinking water to communities across Ontario.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain water treatment processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of facility operations and maintenance activities
  • Liaise with colleagues, clients, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and optimize facility performance

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid Class G driver's license and ability to respond to on-call situations within a reasonable period
  • Good knowledge of water treatment processes and chemistry, including basic mathematics and physics
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and ability to interpret technical specifications
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and scheduling skills to effectively manage facility operations and maintenance
