Welder - Fabrication and Repair Specialist

Pacific Towing and Recovery is seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication and Repair Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal parts and products using various welding techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and read blueprints, drawings, and manuals to ensure accurate fabrication and repair.
  • Examine welds to ensure they meet standards and specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, brakes, shears, and other metal shaping and bending machines.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment as needed.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with heavy loads and physically demanding tasks.
  • Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
  • Standing for extended periods and overtime required.
Personal Suitability:
  • Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a team player attitude.
  • Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, gloves, and a welding helmet are required.
Work Environment:
  • Dusty and hot work site environment.
  • Commercial work setting.
