Job Summary

East Coast Diesel is seeking a skilled Welder - Fabrication and Repair Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our fabrication department, you will be responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines.
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using various welding techniques.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding equipment.
Work Environment

As a Welder - Fabrication and Repair Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in a dusty and noisy environment.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in welding or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads.
