beBee Professionals in Winnipeg is seeking a skilled Master Pastry Artisan to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts, while maintaining high-quality standards.
Salary and Benefits:The successful candidate can expect a competitive hourly wage with tips, ranging from $18 to $22 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, employees enjoy free meals during shifts and employee discounts.
Key Responsibilities:- Dough Preparation: Prepare doughs, batters, and other baked goods from scratch, adhering to established recipes and quality control measures.
- Presentation and Decoration: Decorate and present pastries, cakes, and other desserts to meet the highest standards of presentation and appeal.
- Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and order baking supplies as needed to avoid stockouts and minimize waste.
- Experience: Previous experience as a baker or in a similar culinary role, preferably in a commercial bakery or restaurant setting.
- Skills and Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of baking techniques, food safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
- Creativity and Attention to Detail: Demonstrated creativity in food presentation and attention to detail in ensuring high-quality products.
- Flexibility and Teamwork: Ability to work early mornings or flexible hours as required, and collaborate effectively with the kitchen team to achieve common goals.
