Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team in a part-time capacity. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional resident care and contributing to the overall quality of our nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality resident care while adhering to established protocols and physician orders.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, and initiate appropriate health measures when necessary.
  • Organize and direct functions related to resident care, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience.
  • Assist in the management of nursing and personal care staff, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities for new staff members, referring concerns to the Director of Care as needed.

Requirements:

  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset, but not required.
  • A passion for caring for seniors and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Previous experience in long-term care is an asset, with a comprehensive understanding of duties and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and comprehension skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
  • Developed problem-solving skills, with a focus on creative and effective solutions.
