About the Job

We are seeking a seasoned Certification Auditor for our Seafood Chain of Custody program to join our dynamic team. As a contract auditor, you will be responsible for assessing client practices and systems relative to MSC, ASC & RFM certification standards.

Your expertise will be utilized to evaluate client offices, processing plants, and consumer-facing organizations, identifying areas of improvement and providing actionable recommendations to enhance their sustainability performance.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive audit plans, incorporating relevant checklists, forms, and tools.
  • Conduct on-site evaluations, interviewing employees and contractors to gather valuable insights.
  • Review documentation and provide detailed assessment reports, highlighting key findings and recommendations.

  • Foster effective collaboration with clients, promoting open communication and transparency throughout the auditing process.
  • Ensure adherence to all quality and code of conduct standards, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Deliver high-quality audit reports within established timelines, providing actionable recommendations to enhance client sustainability performance.
  • Maintain thorough client records, ensuring compliance and traceability throughout the auditing process.
  • Attend regular training sessions to stay updated on industry regulations and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (environmental science, biology, business, economics, etc.) with 2 years' experience in seafood, fisheries, food, supply chain management, science, or traceability; or
  • Master's degree in a relevant field with equivalent experience; or
  • 2-4 years' relevant experience in any of the aforementioned fields.
  • Fluency in English is essential, along with strong written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills are required, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong customer service, teamwork orientation, and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
Additional Requirements

Ability to work independently, take initiative, and make sound judgments under pressure is vital.

Travel to the US and abroad may be necessary, and ISO training certification or willingness to complete it is highly desirable.
