As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure and applications.
  • Deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on cloud platforms.
  • Implement and manage cloud infrastructure, including provisioning of compute, storage, network, and security.
  • Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and management tasks using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation.
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and deploy cloud-native applications and services.
  • Analyze cloud systems to ensure they meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and security issues and respond to incidents or alerts.
  • Monitor budgeted cloud costs and work with value stream services for cost optimization proposals.
  • Implement and manage cloud-based backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services.
  • Work with development teams to ensure that cloud infrastructure and applications are designed and deployed to meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal solutions architects, vendor partners, other IT teams, stakeholders, and business units to ensure that the cloud infrastructure meets their needs and requirements.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices.

Requirements:



  • Hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineer or related field.
  • Have 5+ years professional experience in an IT role.
  • Hold certification(s) in AWS cloud solution foundations.
  • Have experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Have experience with cloud infrastructure and services, including compute, storage, network, and security.
  • Have experience with cloud-native application development, including the use of microservices and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Have a functional familiarity with cloud-based security concepts, such as identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.
  • Have a functional familiarity with infrastructure management, identity management, virtualization and hosted services.
  • Have a functional understanding of cloud-based automation and management tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation.
  • Be familiar with cloud security and compliance best practices.
  • Be familiar with monitoring and logging tools for cloud-based systems.
  • Have strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Have experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Have good communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Be proficient in English and French both verbally and written.
