We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at Aztec Structural Restoration Inc. as a Construction Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship in the construction and restoration of residential and commercial buildings.
Key Responsibilities- Measure, Cut, and Assemble Materials: You will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and assembling materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to ensure precise fit and finish.
- Build and Install Structures: You will build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Maintain and Repair Buildings: You will maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
- Transportation and Travel: You will be responsible for transporting yourself to and from work sites, and may be required to travel to various locations.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: You will work in a physically demanding environment, requiring you to bend, crouch, kneel, and handle heavy loads. You will also work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Tools and Equipment: You will be responsible for maintaining and using your own steel-toed safety boots and other necessary tools and equipment.
- Personal Suitability: You will be expected to demonstrate accuracy, judgment, reliability, teamwork, and punctuality in your work.
- Experience: You will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the carpentry trade, with a strong background in construction and restoration.
