Job Summary

The Diversified Analog Solutions team in Ottawa, Canada is home to Skyworks' design center for RF front-end solutions, power amplifiers, synthesizers, switches, and controllers for various wireless applications. We have a challenging opportunity for a University Student to join our team as an RF Design Validation/Testing Co-op student for a 12-month work term.

Job Description

The RF Design Validation/Testing Co-op will support RF test evaluation of RFICs and multichip modules. This role requires a strong background in RF/microwave design, knowledge of RF testing, and proficiency in data processing and presentation tools such as Matlab, MS Excel, and Power Point. The successful candidate will perform RF tests, evaluate and summarize results, and present data to design engineers. They will also be involved in design evaluation, simulation, and debugging of RF switches, filters, couplers, PA's, LNA's, and FEM's.

Responsibilities

  • Perform RF tests and evaluate results
  • Summarize and present data to design engineers
  • Design evaluation, simulation, and debugging of RF components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering Bachelor or Master Degree's program
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and data organization
  • Knowledge in RF parameters (insertion loss, return loss, harmonics, IMD, IIP2/3, VSWR, NF, etc.)
  • RFIC Design and Simulation experience
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in using RF equipment such as oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, RF sources

What We Offer

The typical pay range for an intern is CAD $44.00 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on level of education and the ultimate job duties and requirements.
