Job SummarySkyworks Solutions is seeking a University student for an RFIC design position in its Diversified Analog Solutions business unit. This is a 1-year position that will provide the student with a well-rounded introduction to the RF electronic component design environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lab testing and characterization of highly integrated Wi-Fi Front end modules
- Contribute to the research and development of advanced analog and RF integrated circuits for wireless (Wi-Fi) technology
- Assist in new product engineering and design activities
- Communicate with employees at all levels in the organization and demonstrate excellent problem-solving, data analysis, and critical thinking skills
- Currently enrolled in a BS, MS, or Ph.D. academic program in Canada (Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, or related)
- Knowledge of electronic circuits and principles
- An interest and aptitude in the art of RF/microwave and analog circuit design and measurement
- An interest and aptitude in semiconductor device physics and integrated circuit design
- Desirable knowledge/experience includes familiarity with ADS, Cadence, SPICE, or similar design tools
- Proficient in the use of MS Office (Excel and Word) and have an aptitude for quickly learning other company-specific software
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills
- Good communication, organization, and documentation skills
The typical pay range for an intern is CAD $44.00 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on level of education and the ultimate job duties and requirements.
