Financial Analyst Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst Assistant to join our team at Wastech Services Inc.
About the JobAs a Financial Analyst Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our accounting functions, including financial record-keeping, data analysis, and reporting. You will work closely with our finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial information is available for business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in maintaining general ledgers and financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
- Perform data entry and bookkeeping tasks using manual and computerized systems, such as accounting software and ERP systems
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, providing insights to support business growth
- Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies, ensuring financial accuracy and integrity
- Support the preparation of tax returns and other statutory filings
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets and other financial models to support business planning and decision-making
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency in MS Excel, accounting software, and ERP systems; experience with statistical and financial modeling tools an asset
- A competitive salary of $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience
