About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Operations Manager to join our team at SimCorp, Risk Management and Global Fund Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring, supporting, and evolving end-to-end solutions for finance and operations services. You will work in partnership with business and technology services to deliver strategic priorities and achieve expected results using agile methods.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of enterprise-wide initiatives using tools and techniques for activity analysis. Proactively identify procedural and workflow process issues, identify opportunities for improvement, implement solutions, automate, and innovate.
- Hold sessions to gather information on needs. Document and validate expectations with domain specialists and promote the creation of robust system specifications that enable the design or acquisition of appropriate systems that meet operational requirements.
- Lead testing activities and participate to ensure that deliverables meet operational requirements. Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand priorities, product roadmaps, existing systems, and integration environments to progress towards established objectives.
- Ensure liaison with engineers, solution architects, and subject matter experts to think about innovative alternative solutions, design them, and document them. Evaluate alternative solutions against operational requirements and provide guidance based on domain expertise.
- Participate in process design meetings and translate results into process documentation. Present processes and validate them with subject matter experts. In processes, document key risks, risk mitigation controls, performance metrics, cost factors, and business continuity plans.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Eight years of experience in a related role in the investment industry.
- Experience with SimCorp Dimension or an equivalent performance measurement system.
- Proven ability to ensure liaison with subject matter experts to collect operational requirements, including direct experience with Placement Operations, Pension Fund Return, and Investment Accounting groups.
- High attention to detail, solid understanding of project life cycle, and ability to use best practices in unique and dynamic situations.
- Ability to grasp activity integration and data requirements and prepare technical specifications for the Engineering team.
- Experience with Agile Scrum/Kanban processes and project management tools: JIRA, Confluence.
- Ability to adjust communication style to present technical and non-technical information to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain relationships with key stakeholders representing a wide range of functions and levels.
- Team-oriented collaboration mindset and willingness to accomplish tasks in a collaborative manner by sharing practices and ideas across functions.
- Change agent and continuous process improvement advocate.
