About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at the Nova Scotia Health Authority in Sydney. As a key member of our department, you will provide exceptional care to patients under the age of 18 in our outpatient clinic. Your expertise will also be utilized in program development, such as the Behaviour Disorders and Early Psychosis Intensive Program.

As a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will have the opportunity to participate in teaching programs and activities, contributing to the education and development of medical students and residents. Your collaboration with other clinical teams will be essential in delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive care to patients in the outpatient clinic
  • Participate in program development and implementation
  • Offer consultations to other physicians and rural clinics
  • Contribute to teaching programs and activities
  • Participate in administrative responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
  • Eligibility for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
  • Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
