Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Global Variety Development to lead our team in securing and developing new potato varieties to create a competitive advantage for McCain Foods. This role will be responsible for strategically leading and facilitating relationships with key external partners, managing variety product profiles, and developing strategies to excel the movement and growth of new potato varieties within the McCain network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of new potato varieties through strategic partnerships with external breeders, universities, and institutes.
  • Manage and maintain variety product profiles to ensure alignment with present and future strategic demand.
  • Develop and implement strategies to excel the movement and growth of new potato varieties within the McCain network.
  • Collaborate with global and regional teams to problem-solve and develop effective solutions.
  • Ensure global information exchange through the database by establishing dashboards and data analysis outputs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in potato crop production and variety development.
  • Strong network and relationships with key institutes and external partners.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
