About the RoleThis is a permanent full-time position working 30-40 hours per week. As an Aquatic Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process in our fish plant, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities- Minimizing Hazards: Identify and minimize hazards throughout the food production process to maintain a safe working environment.
- Staff Training: Provide training to staff on job duties, safety procedures, and company policies to ensure they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
- Reporting and Recommendations: Prepare production reports and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Work Scheduling: Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of workers to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other departments.
- Materials and Equipment: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
You will supervise labourers in fish processing and work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- A secondary school graduation certificate
- At least 2 years of experience in a related field
- The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with exposure to odours. You must be able to work under pressure and have excellent time management skills.
Salary and BenefitsThe estimated salary for this position is $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. Other benefits include flexible working hours and opportunities for professional growth.
