Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Aviation Documentation Specialist - Technical Configuration Control to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of technical documentation across our business units. Your expertise in records management and documentation control will be instrumental in maintaining our company's high standards of quality and compliance.

You will work closely with our engineering staff to review and update technical documents, including original equipment manufacturer manuals, unit build standards, and temporary overhaul data revisions. Your attention to detail and analytical skills will enable you to identify areas for improvement and implement changes that enhance our documentation processes.

Your role will also involve providing training and guidance to business unit staff on all aspects of technical documentation, as well as maintaining and distributing documentation system training packages. You will be the central point of contact for configuration control specialists from other business units, facilitating collaboration and ensuring a consistent corporate vision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and update technical documents, including OEM manuals, unit build standards, and temporary overhaul data revisions.
  • Work with engineering staff to ensure accurate and consistent documentation.
  • Provide training and guidance to business unit staff on technical documentation.
  • Maintain and distribute documentation system training packages.
  • Foster collaboration with configuration control specialists from other business units.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Strong organizational, analytical, decision-making, leadership, interpersonal, planning, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of records management and documentation control.
  • Thorough knowledge of company instructions, company processes, unit build standards, temporary overhaul data revisions, and original equipment manufacturer's manuals.
  • College diploma in a field of engineering technology or equivalent experience in an inspection role associated with technical documentation.
