Job Title: Executive Director
Job Summary:
The Neskonlith Indian Band is seeking an Executive Director to lead the successful leadership and general management of the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the strategic plan, managing operations, and ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of ongoing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive plans, including strategic plans, comprehensive community plans, and land use and economic development plans.
- Financial Management: Manage all financial operations, including budgeting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, end-period reporting, purchasing, and payroll.
- Relationship Management: Maintain open, equitable, and service-oriented relationships between the community and the Band administration.
- Council Governance and Administration: Attend Band Council meetings, represent the Nation at local, regional, provincial, and national meetings, and possess a thorough understanding of the Band Human Resource Policies.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as Business, Finance, Aboriginal Studies, or related field.
- Certifications: Certified Aboriginal Financial Manager (CAFM), Certified Aboriginal Professional Administrator (CAPA), or relevant certification.
- Experience: Project Management Designation is a preferred asset.
