We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented School Custodian to join our team at the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our schools.
Responsibilities- Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces, to maintain a clean and healthy environment for students and staff.
- Facilities Support: Assist with minor repairs, maintenance, and upkeep of school facilities, including equipment and furniture.
- Security and Safety: Ensure that all school areas are secure and safe, including monitoring CCTV cameras and responding to emergencies.
- Communication: Maintain open communication with school staff and administrators to ensure that facilities needs are met and concerns are addressed.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Experience an asset, but not required.
- Work Setting: School or educational institution/establishment.
- Security and Safety: Criminal record check required.
- Financial Benefits: As per collective agreement, including group insurance benefits and pension plan.
