Purchasing and Inventory Management Coordinator

Chennai Caters Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing and Inventory Management Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor the movement of supplies and materials between departments to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Prepare and submit reports to management on inventory levels, stock movements, and other key metrics.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of equipment and machinery to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory, including stock levels, receipts, and shipments.
  • Coordinate with warehouse and production units to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods and materials.
  • Compile worksheets and specifications of orders to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.
  • Consult with production supervisor to schedule production runs in a cost and time-efficient manner.
  • Estimate type and quantity of materials and labor required for production, construction, and other projects.
  • Monitor production progress and prepare reports to management on key metrics.
  • Provide customer service and respond to inquiries regarding inventory and procurement.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
