About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Trainee to join our team at HUB International Canada West ULC (Canada West). As a Commercial Insurance Trainee, you will play a key role in supporting our producers and marketers in servicing commercial accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist producers and marketers with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts, including meeting existing clients' needs and processing documentation.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of policy documentation from insurers before forwarding to the client.
  • Contact clients for renewal information and take client calls to answer questions regarding coverages.
  • Negotiate with insurers on coverage and price to best meet the needs of the client in conjunction with the producer.
  • Update client information as changes occur and answer account-related questions/requests from clients, lawyers, and banks.
  • Provide policy and coverage information to clients upon request or inquiry.
Requirements
  • Level 1 Insurance License or willingness to obtain.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Motivated to help support a diverse team and contribute in a team environment.
  • Minimum of one year commercial insurance experience as an Insurance Advisor.
  • Pro-active and a self-starter with a keen attention to detail and strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to communicate (written and verbal), present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
