Job Title: Commercial Insurance Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Insurance Trainee to join our team at HUB International Canada West ULC (Canada West). As a Commercial Insurance Trainee, you will play a key role in assisting our producers and marketers with all aspects of servicing commercial accounts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist producers and marketers with client inquiries and requests
  • Process documentation, including certificates of insurance, cover notes, renewals, proposals, endorsements, and invoicing
  • Review and ensure accuracy of policy documentation from insurers
  • Meet with clients to discuss renewal information and answer questions regarding coverages
  • Negotiate with insurers on coverage and price to meet client needs
  • Update client information as changes occur
  • Provide policy and coverage information to clients upon request
Requirements:
  • Level 1 Insurance License or willingness to obtain
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency
  • Motivated to help support a diverse team and contribute in a team environment
  • Minimum of one year commercial insurance experience as an Insurance Advisor
  • Pro-active and a self-starter with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong customer service focus with the ability to deliver positive client experiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
