Job Summary

Kelson is seeking a skilled HVAC Refrigeration Technician - Journeyman to join our Mechanical Service Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems, using advanced troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge.
  • Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to junior technicians, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and appliance standards, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Assist customers with queries and provide excellent customer service, translating technical terms into clear and concise language.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Valid driver's license and good standing with the Ontario College of Trades.
  • 5+ years of experience as a commercial HVAC Service technician, with a willingness to continue education in the HVAC field.
  • Experience with refrigeration piping/construction and service (maintenance & break-fix troubleshooting) is preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficient in reading schematics and work plans, with the ability to work in confined spaces and maintain a high level of autonomy.
