DASCH is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing residential, day program, respite, and foster care services to youth and adults. Our programs are based in Winnipeg, and we offer a range of services to support individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Job Summary:
We are seeking Direct Support Professionals to work weekend shifts in various locations in Winnipeg. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide care and support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in their homes and in the community.
Responsibilities:
- Provide physical, emotional, and social support to individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal hygiene, grocery shopping, and meal preparation
- Transport individuals to and from activities and home in a safe and careful manner
- Contribute to a warm and comfortable home environment
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the Location Supervisor and other team members
Requirements:
- Canadian Grade 10 education or equivalent
- Full or Intermediate Class 5 Manitoba Driver's License
- Smart device with internet access
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
