About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Good Earth Coffeehouse Capital Park. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our coffee shop, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food and beverage offerings meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting our high standards.
  • Operations and Logistics
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that our coffee shop is running smoothly and efficiently.
    • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, and ensure that we have adequate stock levels to meet customer demand.
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates, and monitor our financial performance to ensure that we are meeting our targets.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that our customers receive exceptional service, and that their needs are met promptly and efficiently.
    • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and provide regular reports to management.
    • Prepare and submit reports on a regular basis, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service or coffee shop environment.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Work Environment

Our coffee shop is a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and kneeling. You must be physically fit and able to work in a demanding environment.
