Key responsibilities include:

  • Communicating objectives and following up on assignments to ensure staff availability for production schedules
  • Revision and corrections to manufacturing and packaging files
  • Quantifying design variances and implementing method changes
  • Ensuring quality and health and safety
  • Managing the performance of employees under your supervision and conducting performance evaluations
  • Providing suggestions and solutions to optimize team performance and improve safety
  • Participating in the hiring process, onboarding, training, and evaluation of employees
  • Actively participating in packaging/manufacturing activities when necessary
  • Tracking production performance indicators and ensuring established targets are met
  • Contacting technical support for Manufacturing/Packaging
  • Ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times

Requirements:

  • College diploma or equivalent (DEP with relevant experience)
  • Diploma in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technology (an asset)
  • Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing experience in the production (weighing, formulation) or in packaging in the pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic industry, including at least 2 years in a similar position
  • Knowledge of Canadian Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) (Health Canada)
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships with all employees
  • Proven initiative and leadership skills
  • Ability to plan and organize work
  • Good communication skills
  • Bilingual (French and English)
