Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Bridge Engineer - Project Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will lead a design team, supervise and coordinate the activity of other engineers and project team members, and mentor new and junior employees. The candidate will also foster and grow strong relationships with our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a design team and supervise and coordinate the activity of other engineers and project team members.
  • Mentor new and junior employees.
  • Foster and grow strong relationships with our clients.
  • Design and construction engineering of resource bridge and culvert projects in the public and private sectors.
  • Business development, budgeting, and project management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a structural concentration.
  • Alberta Transportation (AT) Class A and Class B Bridge Inspection Certifications will be considered a strong asset.
  • Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta.
  • 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in bridge assessment, bridge planning, bridge load evaluation and culvert sizing.
  • Strong working knowledge with the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code (CAN/CSA-S6) and the Canadian Foundation Engineering Manual.
  • Excellent communication skills (interpersonal and written) and proven ability to collaborate with team members in a multi-disciplined environment.
  • Technical competence and strong attention to detail.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring ability.
