About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Web Developer to join our team at Voices. As a key member of our web development group, you will play a crucial role in improving and extending our product.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of robust technical solutions for business problems presented by our Product and Marketing Teams.
  • Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-quality products.
  • Develop end-to-end applications, including UI design, backend controls, APIs, application logic, and special architecture projects.
  • Plan and lead team sprints and projects through estimation and cooperative research.
  • Develop new features and find ways to improve the product, sometimes spanning multiple teams for an all-hands approach.
  • Handle internal support conversations, investigate trouble tickets, and contribute to occasional infrastructure projects.
  • Help expand the knowledge of your colleagues and contribute to the development of highly functional, efficient, and readable code.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in database-driven web site development.
  • Proven track record of leading a team to a positive, shared goal.
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Diploma in Web Development, or equivalent work experience.
  • Production-level experience with JavaScript, PHP, React, build & migration scripts, and asynchronous queues.
  • Production-level experience with WordPress development or other similar CMS.
  • Ability to explain thinking and communicate ideas or issues well.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, taking the initiative to ensure everything needed is available and seeking support when required.
  • Love learning, solving problems, and bridging gaps between new and old.
  • Love sharing knowledge and helping the team based on experience.
About You

You want to ship regularly and build end-to-end software. Your passion is to improve and learn. You understand the importance of quality code and are skilled in developing front-ends from scratch to create valid, reusable, performant, and accessible pages at all screen sizes.
