We are seeking a skilled and motivated Farm Laborer to join our team at Four Seasons Farm Inc. as a General Farm Worker.
Key Responsibilities- Education and Training: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, as we provide on-the-job training.
- Work Experience: Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
Our farm operates using organic farming methods, which means we prioritize sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
Work SettingWe are a dynamic and growing farm, and we are willing to relocate the right candidate to join our team.
Tasks and Responsibilities- Apply Fertilizers: Assist in the application of fertilizers to promote healthy crop growth.
- Clean the Crops: Ensure crops are clean and free of debris to maintain quality and prevent contamination.
- Cut Agricultural Crops: Assist in the harvesting and cutting of crops, using manual or mechanical methods.
- Divide Fresh Harvested Produce: Sort and separate produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
- Hand Harvesting Vegetables: Assist in the manual harvesting of vegetables, using techniques such as hand-picking and pruning.
- Mixing Fertilizer: Assist in the preparation and application of fertilizers to crops.
- Pack Fruits and Vegetables: Assist in the packing and preparation of fruits and vegetables for market.
- Plant, Cultivate, and Irrigate Crops: Assist in the planting, cultivation, and irrigation of crops, using sustainable and environmentally friendly methods.
- Seed Cutting: Assist in the harvesting and processing of seeds for replanting.
- Sort Fruits and Vegetables: Assist in the sorting and grading of fruits and vegetables for market.
- Weeding: Assist in the removal of weeds from crops to prevent competition and maintain quality.
- Write Daily Progress Reports: Assist in the documentation of daily progress and tasks completed.
- Clean Work Area: Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Harvest Crops: Assist in the harvesting of crops, using manual or mechanical methods.
We grow a variety of crops, including garlic, ginger, onions, tomatoes, and vegetables.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities- Ability to Work Independently: Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically Demanding: Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
- Hand-Eye Coordination: Must have good hand-eye coordination to perform tasks such as cutting and sorting.
- Attention to Detail: Must be able to pay attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in tasks.
- Standing for Extended Periods: Must be able to stand for extended periods to perform tasks such as harvesting and packing.
