We are seeking a skilled and motivated Farm Laborer to join our team at Four Seasons Farm Inc. as a General Farm Worker.
Key Responsibilities- Apply fertilizers to crops to promote healthy growth and development.
- Clean the crops to ensure they are free from debris and contaminants.
- Cut agricultural crops using manual or mechanical tools.
- Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots for distribution.
- Hand harvest vegetables and other crops to ensure high quality and freshness.
- Mix fertilizers according to the manufacturer's instructions to create a suitable blend for crops.
- Pack fruits and vegetables into containers for transportation and storage.
- Plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops to ensure optimal growth and yield.
- Seed cutting and preparation for planting.
- Sort fruits and vegetables to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Weeding and removal of unwanted plants to prevent competition for resources.
- Write daily basic progress reports to track work completed and any issues encountered.
- Clean and maintain the work area to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Harvest crops at the optimal time to ensure maximum quality and yield.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced agricultural environment with a focus on organic farming practices.
Requirements- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physically demanding work requiring standing for extended periods and manual labor.
- Hand-eye coordination and attention to detail to ensure accurate and efficient work.
- Ability to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking environments.
- Efficient interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and management.
