We are currently looking for a Site Reliability Engineer who is hands-on and highly technical to contribute to our ETSS production services team. This role would join a collaborative team to deliver Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, Observability, and other emerging technology services for application teams across Capital Markets.
About YouTo be successful in this position, you will require strong development experience, confidence with GitHub, and an open-minded individual who is not afraid to fail fast and pivot when needed.
You will participate in transforming technology in Capital Markets by working closely with client application development teams and partnering with DevOps, Compute, Data engineering teams, within Capital Markets and across the broader Enterprise.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the execution of SRE product base vision (monitoring, alerting, self-healing, reliability testing).
- Participate in functional and non-functional reviews of all production-bound SRE solutions (performance, security, maintainability, compliance, change management).
- Identify opportunities to automate existing processes and transform the technology landscape.
- Collaborate with the team through the execution of the SRE roadmap.
- Track, audit, monitor, and implement technical work streams.
- Support technology currency (server patching, certificate renewal, compliance) with a keen eye on automating opportunities.
To succeed in this position, you will need:
- An engineer mindset and experience with production-class delivery.
- A strong sense of ownership and drive.
- At least 3 years of experience in production support roles supporting multiple applications.
- Experience with Linux and good knowledge of server/networking/storage infrastructure.
- Kubernetes and Containers expertise.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps CICD tools (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible).
- Familiarity with releasing and maintaining cloud solutions.
- A Computer Science degree or equivalent.
