Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team at Imasco Minerals Inc. as a key member of our maintenance team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heavy industrial machinery and equipment. This includes fitting and assembling prefabricated metal parts, reading blueprints, and troubleshooting mechanical issues.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fitting and assembling prefabricated metal parts to build heavy industrial machinery
  • Reading blueprints to determine work requirements
  • Troubleshooting mechanical issues and determining the nature, cause, and location of problems
  • Installing major components such as gears, pumps, motors, or hydraulic assemblies
  • Developing and implementing schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs
  • Directing the maintenance and repair of an establishment's machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems
Requirements:
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 5 years or more
  • Machine Fitter Trade Certification
  • Computer numerical control (CNC) machine operation
  • Precision measuring instrument experience
  • Hydraulic components experience
  • Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG) experience
  • Heavy machinery manufacturing experience
  • Power cutting tools experience
  • NC and CNC systems experience
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and standing for extended periods. Overtime may be required.
