Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at The Grand Canal Retirement Residence.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care, administer medications, and conduct specimen collection. They will also ensure infection control, observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects, and take vital signs.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and conduct specimen collection
  • Ensure infection control and observe medication's therapeutic and side effects
  • Take vital signs and provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
  • Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
