Job Title: Registered Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at The Grand Canal Retirement Residence.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and conduct specimen collection
  • Ensure infection control and observe and record medication's therapeutic and side effects
  • Record medication's therapeutic and side effects observations in patient files and take vital signs
  • Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families and nursing services within defined scope of practice
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions and consult with appropriate members of healthcare team
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • CPR Certificate
  • First Aid Certificate
