About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Executive to lead our global safety initiatives. The successful candidate will provide leadership and guidance to our H&S team, establishing strong working relationships with regional and site leadership teams and employees.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of practical experience in health and safety, with a strong background in industrial safety, electrical engineering, and chemical engineering. They will be responsible for managing H&S procedures and processes, including the development and implementation of emergency response plans (ERPs) and action plans.
This role requires strong knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation, as well as competence in conducting Hazard & Risk Assessments Training. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with regional Occupational Health and Safety Acts and legislation.
We offer a competitive salary package, estimated at $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes benefits such as medical insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
The location of this role is Hybrid - Guelph, Ontario, Canada or Madrid, Spain. We require flexibility and willingness to travel as needed.
- Manage H&S procedures and processes, including ERPs and action plans
- Develop and implement global safety training programs
- Conduct regular audits to verify proper implementation of policies and procedures
- Lead regular in-house training sessions on health and safety issues and risks
- Support regional Health & Safety Committees
