- Valid Certification: Hold a valid Level II Dental Assistant certification in Canada, with HARP certification for exposure of radiographs.
- Orthodontic Experience: Previous experience in orthodontics is preferred, but not essential for enthusiastic candidates who are willing to learn.
- Communication and Technical Skills: Possess strong communication skills and be proficient in chairside assisting skills, with familiarity with orthodontic procedures.
- Computer Literacy: Be comfortable using a PC and basic dental software (Ortho2 Edge) for record-keeping and patient management.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a quick-paced environment.
- Teamwork and Patient Care: Possess a positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding patient care in a team environment.
- On-Site Training: Receive on-site training with the doctor, hygiene, and assisting team.
- Off-Site Education Opportunities: Participate in off-site education opportunities in orthodontic assisting, including course and travel paid.
