About the Role

Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare is seeking a skilled Echocardiographer to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As an Echocardiographer, you will be responsible for performing echocardiography procedures and providing high-quality images to support patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform echocardiography procedures on patients, including adults and children, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Operate and maintain echocardiography equipment, including ultrasound machines and related accessories.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the process and obtaining informed consent.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized echocardiography training program.
  • Certified and registered with CMRITO.
  • Canadian Registered Cardiac Sonographer (Sonography Canada) membership preferred.
  • BLS certification preferred.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of patient contact. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. The successful candidate will also be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
